I have been leading complex and challenging programmes and projects for over 20 years, both in the UK and internationally. My clients have included major broadcasters such as the BBC, C5, Viacom, Radio Algérie, and Discovery. I specialise in projects which are innovative and therefore require a strong product awareness, or which bring significant business change to organisations. Accomplished in both agile and waterfall methodologies, I work with organisations to define the appropriate approach for delivery.
Recent successes include management of the migration of Babcock Media Services into Encompass Digital Media, which involved transitioning over 200 services in less than a year, and the build of a new MCR. Prior to this, I oversaw delivery of Sky’s Adsmart (addressable advertising technology) for three major broadcasters. At the smaller, though still challenging, end of the scale I led delivery of an innovative video distribution system, for public exhibition of theatre and film, for Cinegi Arts & Film. Previously, I have provided support on new technology products for the British Council, NHK (the Japan Broadcasting Corporation) and the European Broadcasting Union. I am an assessor for the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 innovation.
Earlier in my career, I held the position of Executive Editor in the BBC, managing award-winning interactive media production and development teams.
